Forty-five years on the same chassis. We know every one.
The G belongs to Miami. Brickell to Bal Harbour, Star Island to the Grove. We service every generation — W463 original, W463 facelift, W464 current — and every AMG. Three diff locks. Two turbos. One ladder frame.
The G isn’t a car. It’s a statement on wheels.
The Geländewagen was designed in 1979 to climb a mountain in Austria with three differential locks, a ladder frame, and a body the army could rebuild with a hammer. Forty-five years and four generations later, the formula hasn’t changed — just the badge on the steering wheel, the paint code on the door jamb, and how many horsepower live under that vertical hood. Owners change. The G doesn’t.
In Miami, the G has become its own ecosystem. G63 Manufaktur in Hyperblue. Squared G500 4x4² with portal axles. G65 V12 collectors. A growing wave of W463 enthusiasts buying them back from the desert in better condition than half the local fleet. The G platform is the most over-engineered and the most-misunderstood car in the Mercedes lineup — and the one that punishes you fastest for taking it to the wrong shop. Three diff locks aren’t a brochure feature; they’re a service item. We treat the G the way the factory treats the G — with the right tools, the right parts, and the patience the chassis deserves.
Every Mercedes-Benz is a masterpiece made by the best — and for the people who truly love the art of driving.
From the 1979 Geländewagen to the W464 of today.
Every G that left Graz, Austria is still serviceable on the same principles. We know each generation cold — the engine families, the chassis tells, the chronic faults, the service intervals.

Supercharged. Biturbo. V12.
Three engines that built the AMG G mythology. Every one of them on the bench at some point this year. Every one of them serviced to the factory specification we know cold.
G55 K
The original AMG G. Lysholm-style supercharger feeding the hand-built 5.4L V8. Brutal soundtrack, hand-laid welds, the SUV that put AMG on the G map. Service-friendly if you know it.
- Supercharger nose-bearing service
- Intercooler pump & coolant loop
- Pulley reduction (caution-staged)
- 5G-Tronic transmission service
- OEM clutch & bypass valve
G63 Biturbo
M157 in the W463 facelift, M177 in the W464. Twin-turbo V8 in the most over-engineered SUV ever assembled. Familiar engine family for us — same heads as the C63, E63, S63 of the same era.
- Hot-vee turbo cooling & oil feed
- Charge-pipe & intercooler service
- 7G-Tronic / 9G-Tronic service
- ECU / TCU calibration available
- Akrapovič / Capristo exhaust install
G65
The rare one. Hand-built 12-cylinder twin-turbo in a ladder-frame SUV. Only a few hundred ever reached the US. Each one we see is treated as a collector car — full diagnostic, factory parts, hand-torqued reassembly.
- M279 timing & chain inspection
- Twin-turbo cooling & oil feed
- Bi-bank coolant balance
- 7G-Tronic V12-spec service
- Collector-grade documentation
Nine things every G owner eventually sees.
The G is over-engineered, not unbreakable. Forty-five years of the same platform means we know exactly what fails, when, and how to fix it properly — not the four-hour "we replaced the whole module" answer.
Three Differential Locks
Vacuum actuators on W463, electronic motors on W464. Service item, not maintenance-free. We test every lock under load on the factory tool before delivery.
Transfer Case Service
VG150 on the older platforms, VGE3000 on facelift and current. Fluid, linkage, low-range engagement, range-position sensor.
AC Blower (Behind Glove Box)
The G-Wagon AC blower lives behind the glove compartment. Failures present as weak airflow on the passenger side. A familiar Miami summer call.
Sunroof Drains & Seals
Front and rear sunroof drains clog, headliner stains, dash water intrusion. We chase the drains, flush them clear, re-seal the corners.
Door Hinges & Strikers
Heavy steel doors hang on hinge pins that wear. Sag, slammed-shut creaks, mis-aligned strikers. Reshim, re-pin, realign.
Rear-End Whine
Solid rear axle, hypoid gear set. After 80–100k miles, expect pinion-bearing whine. Service the diff, set the pattern, refill with factory-spec gear oil.
Fuel Pump & FCV (W463)
Fuel control valve on the M113 V8 G55K and early G500. Hard-start hot, fuel-trim drift. Familiar failure mode, OEM replacement.
Vacuum System (Diff Locks)
The W463 uses vacuum to actuate the three differential locks. Leaks present as "locks won’t engage" warnings. We pressure-test the entire circuit.
Tire & Brake Wear
5,500-pound chassis on 22-inch AMG wheels in Miami heat. Tires and pads are service items, not lifetime parts. We spec longer-life all-season fitments if requested.
The portal-axle G. And every off-road derivative.
The Squared G500 4x4² with portal axles, the rare G63 6x6, and every custom 35-inch BFG build that comes through Miami. We service the portal-axle reduction hubs, the upgraded brake systems, and the lifted geometry without flinching. Hawkeye alignment compatible with portal-axle reduction ratios.
The cabin gets the same standard as the chassis.
A Manufaktur leather interior costs more than most cars. Burmester audio is a six-figure repair when it fails on warranty terms. We handle the trim side of the G with the same factory-trained patience as the mechanical side — from designo headliner cleaning to climate-module diagnosis.
Designo / Manufaktur Leather
Specialist re-conditioning, color-matched dye, seam repair.
Burmester / 3D Audio
Speaker, amplifier, head-unit diagnostics. Subwoofer rebuild.
MBUX & Widescreen
Touchscreen, touchpad, voice-control diagnostics. Software updates.
Climate Modules
Front, rear, and the chronic passenger-side blower behind the glove box.
Headliner & Trim
Alcantara recovery, sunroof-related stain removal, panel realignment.
Dashboard Module
Cluster faults, MBUX wake issues, ambient-lighting reboot.
Power Folding Steps
W464 deployable side-step actuators, motors, position sensors.
Driver Assistance
360 camera, lane-keep, blind-spot. Calibrated on factory targets.
Four steps. Concierge throughout.
Book
Call, email, or arrange concierge pickup from Brickell to Bal Harbour. We pull the VIN and prep parts.
Scan
XENTRY diagnostic across every module. Diff-lock test, transfer-case test, climate, MBUX, drivetrain.
Service
OEM parts, master-certified hands, factory torque values. Texted updates with photos.
Deliver
Road-tested loaded. Three diff locks verified under load. Concierge return on request.

Call (305) 740-3440 →Yes. W460/W461 original, W463 (1990–2018), W463 facelift (2012–2018), and W464 (2019–current). All AMG variants — G55K supercharged, G63 M157 and M177 biturbo, and the rare G65 M279 V12. Squared Motors G500 4x4² and 6x6 conversions welcome.
Yes. The G-Class three-locker system — front, center, rear — is a service item, not a set-and-forget feature. We service vacuum actuators on the W463, electronic lock motors on the W464, transfer-case fluid, low-range linkage, and the entire 4ETS traction system. The factory XENTRY tool tests every lock under load before the car leaves.
Yes. The M157 5.5L biturbo on the W463 G63 and the M177 4.0L biturbo on the W464 G63 are familiar engine families to us — same heads as the C63, E63, S63 of the same era. The M279 6.0L V12 in the G65 is rare but on the bench when called for. Twin-turbo cooling, oil-leak diagnosis, transmission service, and exhaust work all in-house.
Almost certainly. The G-Wagon AC blower lives behind the glove compartment and fails as a wear item, especially in Miami’s climate. We pull the glove box, diagnose the resistor and motor, and replace with OEM. Typical same-day fix.
Yes. The G weighs 5,500+ pounds and runs ladder-frame geometry that punishes outer-edge tires. Combined with Miami heat and a typical 22-inch AMG fitment, you’ll see 18,000–25,000 miles on a set if you drive it. We can spec longer-life all-season fitments for daily use or stick with summer performance — your call.
Yes. The Hunter Hawkeye Elite rack accommodates portal-axle reduction ratios and lifted ride heights. We’ve aligned multiple G500 4x4² cars and lifted 35-inch builds without issue. Steering-angle sensor and active-rear-steer (where equipped) reset on XENTRY.
Yes. Concierge pickup and delivery anywhere from Brickell to Bal Harbour, including Star Island, the Grove, Pinecrest, and the Beach. Loaner G-class subject to availability for collector and AMG clients on longer service tickets.
